En clase: -Prayer: Sami -Discuss Mexicans in Chicago and your research -Work on Cultura en Vivo Tarea: finish Cultura En Vivo, look for ideas of a mexican/mexican american food you could bring in for Friday. Tomorrow we will discuss when you will have your test. martes 11/17 En clase: -Discuss Cultura en Vivo -Work on summarizing readings in your own words: Del pasado al presente: Chicanos..., Guy García, Adolfo Miller, Mexicanos en Chicago, and how they all tie together. Tarea: finish summaries miércoles 11/18 En clase: -Prayer: Alyssa J -Rules for stress in Spanish -Research. You will work together to give a presentation to the Spanish 3s in English about Mexicans and Mexican-americans in the US You will need to tell them about -a summary of the history (del pasado al presente reading) -including how the situation for Chicanos has changed and improved, still needs to improve -the culture of this group: family structure, food, celebrations, music, art, and literature. Give examples of famous Mexican-american authors, musicians, artists, athletes, etc. No tarea. jueves 11/19 En clase: -Jakob prayed, end round 2! Great job guys. Monday will begin Round 3, I will explain what that entails tomorrow. -Continue research and putting together your presentation for tomorrow. Tarea: finish presentation stuff and make Mexican food viernes 11/20 En clase: -Next round of prayer will be praying for current events.
